Rover Hardware Uninstall Guide
Blip Rover hardware can be removed by customers whenever terminal tractors are retired or replaced. The following instructions will help ensure that alfddcl the components are properly uninstalled and can be reused for installation on a new tractor.
Tools Required
2.5mm Allen wrench
4mm Allen wrench
3/8" socket wrench
1/2" socket wrench
9/16" socket wrench
Instructions
Disconnect Rover Unit
Unscrew the white power connector and unplug the power. Unscrew and disconnect the antenna connector
2. Remove Rover Unit From Mount
Using 2.5mm allen key, remove the screw from the back of the unit. Slide the Rover unit back and disenage from the mount
3. Remove Mount Plate
The mount plate is attached to the tractor's steel frame (on TICOs) with a bolt. Use the 3/8" socket to remove the bolt and mount plate.
4. Remove GPS Antenna
The antenna base is normally magnetically attached to the tractor's steel frame. Carefully slide off and peel the adhesive tape to free the antenna wire
5. Access Power Distribution Panel (optional)
Remove the access panel retaining screws using the 4mm Allen key to reach the vehicle electrical center.
6. Harness Removal
Use 1/2" and 9/16" sockets to disconnect the terminals from power supply at the VEC. Slowly pull out the harness from throught the steel frame .
